It is another form of fasting only which is focused on what to eat, what not, when to eat and when not. The overall goal is to reduce calorie intake and lose weight. According to  (IF) you eat during a specific time of the day and don’t eat anything rest of the day. The more often you fast the better will be the result.

1. Time your diet wisely

You can start with 6 hours fasting means can have meals in a gap of 6 hours. For ex-If you had your breakfast at 8 am then the next meal should be at 2 pm and the last meal at 8 pm again and remember not to eat anything between this timeframe. Once you are comfortable with 6 hr span then you can also increase it to 8 hrs for better results.

2. Fasting on alternate days or can take the ratio of 5:2 or 4:3 diet

5:2 diet approach says keep fast for 2 days in a week and for other 5 days there is no restriction on diet. Same follows for 4:3 means fasting for 3 days and 4 days normal diet.

3. 24 hours fasting

In 24 hour fasting you can keep a fast for 24 hrs on 1 or 2 days during a week and on other days can follow a normal diet. For ex- If you had dinner on Monday then the next meal for you is Tuesdays dinner.

  1. Keep yourself hydrated.
  2. Don’t overeat during a non-fasting period.
  3. Watch your diet it should be protein-rich and try to minimize food rich in carbohydrates and sugar.
  4. You have to follow 1 out of 3 methods consistently if you want to see results. If you are consistent then it will become easier for you as your body will also get adapted.
